Special Publications
Peer-Reviewed Original Research
Special Publications of the Cushman Foundation for Foraminiferal Research, Inc., are peer-reviewed original research and have been published since 1952.
Authors may consider submitting their manuscript as a Special Publication rather than a journal article if the final printed version is approximately 40 pages or longer. Please prepare manuscripts in accordance with the Instructions for Contributors provided for the Journal of Foraminiferal Research.
Depending on need and availability of funds, support for Special Publications is available through the Cushman Foundation.
Process for submitting a Special Publication:
- Contact the Special Publications Editor (Pamela Stephens; pamela.stephens@colorado.edu) with the intent to submit. Include a 1-2 page proposal/abstract outlining the purpose and content of the work.
- The Editor sends the proposal to the Cushman Board of Directors for approval.
- If approved, the manuscript is sent to the publisher for an estimate.
- Acceptance of the paper is then dependent on positive scientific reviews and the availability of funds.
